A Short Biography

Originally from California, I was fortunate to have travelled extensively throughout the world before settling in Switzerland.

My interest in art has been a lifelong passion. Having lived close to San Francisco during the 1960s, there was a definite influence from the psychedelic and Indian art reaching throughout the United States and England at the time.

I loved the posters of concerts and other events done with the use of incredible colors and fonts reminiscent of the Art Nouveau movement of the early 20th century.

Spending a longer period of time in New York City, I could immerse myself in the world of art museums and learn to fully appreciate art in all of its forms. Arriving in Europe further allowed me to travel to multiple major cities visiting one art exhibit after another, as often as time allowed.

Not having been schooled in the arts I have relied upon my instincts to bring a part of myself onto the canvas. Art has become a part of my life in ways I would not have thought possible. The impressions on my canvas’ are expressions of feelings, thoughts, ideas, and dreams. It is my hope that you are as moved by these impressions as I am.

being creative

Creation is the ability of making something new from what was not here before in its present form . The goal in my art is to try and bring out a new perspective in visual aesthetics by creating something which, not previously seen, touches our inner sight anew.
